Crawl Space Door Systems Return and Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with your product. If something is not right, we are here to make it right. This policy explains when and how you can return an item, and how refunds work.

1. Return window

You have 30 days from the date your order is delivered to request a return or report a problem, subject to the conditions below.

2. Standard products

New, unopened products may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund. Products that have been opened but are unused and in original, resalable condition may be returned within 30 days subject to a 20% restocking fee. Products that have been used or installed, or are not in resalable condition, are not eligible for return. Proof of purchase is required. The restocking fee does not apply to defective items, items damaged in shipping, or our errors.

3. Items damaged in shipping

Inspect your order on delivery. For freight or LTL deliveries, note any visible damage on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing, and refuse delivery of items that are clearly damaged. Report any damage to us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the item and packaging. We will arrange a replacement or, if a replacement is not available or not preferred, a refund, and we will handle the carrier or freight claim.

4. Defective items and warranties

If an item is defective on arrival, we will repair, replace, or refund it at our discretion within the 30-day window, with replacement as the default.

For products manufactured by Crawl Space Door Systems, we stand behind our products and will repair or replace items with a manufacturing defect, except where the problem results from user error, misuse, improper installation, alteration, or normal wear and tear.

For products we resell from other manufacturers (such as certain flood vents and components), the manufacturer's warranty applies. For defects that appear after the 30-day window, we will direct you to the manufacturer and help you start a warranty claim.

5. How to start a return

Contact us at info@crawlspacedoors.com or 757-274-9989 with your order number and a description of the issue. We will respond with return instructions and a return authorization. Please do not send items back without contacting us first.

6. Return shipping costs

If the return is due to our error, a defect, or shipping damage, we cover return shipping. For all other returns, you are responsible for return shipping. We recommend a trackable method, as we cannot process a refund for an item we do not receive.

7. Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method after we receive and inspect the returned item, typically within 5 business days, less any applicable restocking fee. Original shipping charges are non-refundable except where the return is due to our error, a defect, or shipping damage.

8. Order cancellations

To cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible. Because we often ship quickly, we cannot guarantee we can cancel before an order ships. Once shipped, the order is handled under this policy.
